Location
The destination for this lodge-based kayak tour is the Rendezvous Islands - located in the Discovery Islands area of the BC coast. Not too far from Powell River Sea Kayak's site on Okeover Inlet - but far enough to require motor vessel transport - this off-the-beaten-path destination provides not only comfortable accommodation and beautiful scenery, but world-class sea kayaking opportunities. With several marine parks, dynamic waters and marine wildlife, and many islands and islets shrouded in coastal rainforest, the beauty is apparent. Add to this the charming examples of life and history in a remote area, and you have a destination well worth experiencing!
Not Your Typical Accommodation
Powell River Sea Kayak Ltd. has partnered with Solstua West in providing a wonderfully natural and comfortable sea kayak tour. At Solstua West, guests stay in private tent-cabins where comfort meets nature. Well protected from the elements, each cabin boasts a queen-size bed on handmade driftwood frames,  along with private decks with beautiful ocean views. Additional amenities include:
- Linens and wool duvet
- Eider-down pillows
- Cozy robes
- Adirondack chairs (and binoculars!)
- Hammock
- One-way-view windows with mosquito screens
- Lush bath and beach towels
- even headlamps for after-dark lighting!
The attention to detail is evident throughout Solstua West.
 Steps away is the bathroom facility with eco-friendly composting toilets and the shower house providing private changing cubicles and hot showers overlooking the ocean. Bath towels and bathrobes are supplied along with eco-friendly shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
As if this was not enough... the Bluff Cabin provides a central gathering place complete with a library of books, magazines and games along with a woodstove and leather couch.
 The Food
For those who have thoroughly enjoyed the food on PRSK's camping tours, the food-experience on this tour will undoubtedly delight and certainly meet expectations! Keep in mind; whereas camping tours require planning menus around the difficulties of packing food into kayaks and the lack of refrigeration, these same challenges do not exist at Solstua West! Menus include fresh organic produce, baked goods, fresh juices and hearty dinners - all served at the water's edge open-air dining hall.
All-inclusive Sea Kayak Tour
 In addition to the aforementioned accommodation and food, guests will have the services of an experienced sea kayak guide each day. The guide will be there from start to finish, providing leadership, interpretation, route knowledge, safety and organization. As with all of Powell River Sea Kayak's tours, the kayaks and equipment will be of the utmost quality.
All tours to Solstua West leave from, and return to, Lund, BC.
