The event focuses on Canadian musical talent and offers a diverse and friendly atmosphere for the whole family. Blackberry FestivalThe Blackberry Festival is a week long celebration of those wonderfully delectable berries that grow in abundance in Powell River. There are different events each day winding up with everyone's favourite, the Street Party. The Open Air Market holds a Blackberry Baking Contest and special Blackberry games for kids. And don't miss the Blackberry specialty drinks and desserts at the local pubs and restaurants and Art in the Park on the first Sunday of the week. The local hospitality industry competes through an amazing obstacle course in the Hospitality Olympics.
