Awesome! Writing for the Geological Society of Canada in 1911, J. Austen Bancroft described Toba and Bute Inlets in this manner: "In the grandeur of their scenery these inlets surpass all the others within this area and must rival in their magnificence all examples of the fiord type in the world."
 Toba Inlet is an awesome and humbling experience - an experience that our guides love each year they go up there. The remoteness of the area is one great feature. Not many kayakers or boaters venture into Toba Inlet. Another feature of this grand inlet is the waterfalls. Depending on the time of year, the waterfalls can be a thundering experience as they plummet into the ocean. During extremely dry times, these same waterfalls can be soothingly peaceful as the water bounces and splashes playfully to the ocean far below. Each day ends at a lush rainforest campsite - providing a setting that is the quintessential BC kayaking experience.

By boat - of course!
Toba Inlet is just beyond Desolation Sound. The tour starts at our location on Okeover Inlet, however not by sea kayak. With our kayaks and gear loaded onto a motor vessel, we travel just beyond Desolation Sound, where we are dropped off
for our 5 day expedition to Toba Inlet. Return is also by motor vessel.
