First Camping Tour of 2019: Guide’s Photo Journal
Our annual May Long Weekend camping tour took place again this year with 3 regular faces (good to see you again Duane, Rod and Connor!) and 2 new paddlers (family and friends of the originals). This is the 5th year that this crew has come out on this weekend to kick off our season in style!
Having kayaked and camped just about everywhere possible in Desolation, this year we added an extra day to the trip and paddled beyond Desolation, circumnavigating West Redonda Island in 5 days in an expedition-style trip that saw their streak of incredible May Long Weekend weather continue (with the exception of the last day, perhaps!)
Our Lead Guide Kyle Watters was on hand and took some incredible pictures of the adventure.
We really love these early season camping tours in Desolation Sound!
